U14 - P1 - Differences between types of programmes

Talk/Music - BBC Radio 4 provides music and talk, they have a playlist of music which is played to keep the audience entertained. It broadcasts concerts, documentaries and popular music which is mainstream. The most popular radio stations for music is Kiss FM, it is available on FM from 97.2 MHz -107.7 MHz talk Radio is a Multiplatform radio which has DAB, FM, HD Radio and radio online, there are many different ways which you can listen to for example in the car or at home. 

Sport - You can watch/listen to sport on many channels such as SporTV, ESPN, Fox sport, BT sports, BBC sports and many more. they provide games and commentary as this will engage the audience much more. This keeps the audience entertained because millions of people like watching sports and would love to watch it live. There is commentary which they talk about what's happening in the games. And also talk about it after the match and share their opinions on the game. For example a big game like Liverpool VS Tottenham for the Champions League final.

Current events - There is many things happening around the world such as a very bad disease is going around called COVID 19, its a virus which is caused by mammals and birds which is passed onto the humans. The news shows how many people were infected by this lethal disease and the statistics of how many people that died all around the world. Another main news which is going on is preparations for the war. Russia had some conflict with Ukraine and bombed their country for no reason. Ukraine has been under attack for a couple days. 

Lifestyle - Women's hour BBC Radio 4 for this programme There is the main presenter with guests Woman's Hour is a radio magazine programme broadcast in the United Kingdom on the BBC Light Programme, BBC Radio 2, and later BBC Radio 4. It has been on the air since 1946. The running time is roughly 60 minutes. 

Dramatization -  BBC Radio 4 has programmes which the main character shows the current events, and this will make the audience interested in the show. The sound effects used in the programme are intense which allows the audience to feel how the characters are feeling. With the show being serious it creates some suspense within the story.

Girl Taken is a crime show and women's hour is a lifestyle programme, and both are to entertain and educate the audience. The main character in Girl Taken, is the father which wants to get to the UK illegally. Whereas women's hour is very different as it has the main character which also plays as others. Girl Taken has different types of character in the podcast this will allow them to attract the audience is many ways. On the other hand women's hour consist of female presenters and guests. 

The main character in Girl Taken is the father which is a BBC journalist Sue Mitchell and ex-soldier Rob Lawrie thought they were involved in the heart-breaking. Its a  story of an Afghan father and his motherless daughter as they struggled to get to the UK.
